Countdown
to the Faire
Watch this short clip with recent images from our faire!
Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth and her court are on an annual progress to the Town of Billericay. The town, in preparation for her arrival has prepared much merriment including a joust, magicians, comedy, combatants, music, artisans, food and much more.
As an upstart member of the faery court decides to play a trick on the town, some of the Queen’s favorite tales have returned to life including Robin Hood and his men, King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and the magic of the wizard Merlin.
Their various evil counterparts including Sir Guy of Gisborne, the misunderstood Tax Collector, Morgan Le Fay and Mordred have also been returned to life.
Children young and old will also enjoy interacting with other English legends such as the Pied Piper. Mary, Queen of Scots has escaped from house arrest at Sheffield Manor to attend the faire and is contemplating how to use this strange turn of events to her advantage to make a grab at the throne of England.
The culmination of the day will be a battle of good versus evil, hero versus villain. Who will reign at the end of the day: Queen Elizabeth? Queen Mary? King Arthur? Perhaps even Mordred? Come to the Fishers Renaissance Faire to find out!
